FDA debating over-the-counter morning after pill

The Food and Drug Administration is deciding today whether to end the age restriction on who can buy the emergency Plan B contraceptive pill.

Currently, only women 17 and older can buy the "morning after" pill without a prescription in many pharmacies. The FDA could allow the pill to be moved from behind the counter out to store shelves. Opponents say they're concerned Plan B could prevent parents from adequately monitoring their teens' behavior.
