Bacteria lurks in public restroom paper towels

A new study warns that bacteria that can make you sick lurk in most of the paper towels we use in public restrooms and towels made from recycled paper were the most heavily contaminated.

Researchers say bacteria may thrive in recycled paper because it contains ingredients like starches and fillers that germs feed on.

Experts say it's still better to wash and dry your hands than not.

The research was done at Canada's Laval University.
