For the first time in 88 years a gray wolf has been spotted in California.

A young male migrating in search of a mate crossed over the state line from Oregon Wednesday. Based on his GPS collar -- wildlife officials say he is now in Siskiyou County.

The 2-year-old wolf, known as "Or-7", has roamed more than 750 miles, crossing the length of Oregon in search of a new territory to call his own. Whether or not he stays -- is anybody's guess.
