The baby, named Sa'riah Miller, was scheduled to be released with her mother on Friday, but her father, 21-year-old Seagram Miller left the hospital with her before she was officially released. It's believed Miller slipped a tracking band of baby Sa'riah's wrist, allowing him to take her from the maternity ward without setting off any alarms.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office said they did not feel a crime has been committed and they believed baby Sa'riah was never in any danger.
Eden Medical Center says it is reviewing its security policies.
