A climate clock could someday become a landmark in downtown San Jose.

The 8-story tall, solar-powered, kinetic sculpture won San Jose's contest for a climate clock. The Organograph will show the complex mechanisms that govern the Earth's carbon cycle.

It will cost between $15 million and $20 million to build the Organograph. The city hopes private donors will pay for it.
