Kids don't see much benefit from doing homework

SAN FRANCISCO

Australian researchers found that achievement results are actually lower in countries where students spend more time doing homework. The study from the Australian Institute of Family Studies shows elementary school kids get no benefit from homework and middle schoolers get just a little. The only students that actually benefit are 11th and 12th graders.

The study recommends replacing homework with 20 minutes of exercise.
