The government wants to make sure all veterans have adequate access to health care as thousands more begin coming home from war. 1,600 clinicians and about 300 support staff will be added to provide mental health services. The department says it'll begin recruiting immediately.
Since 2007, the VA has seen a 35 percent increase in the number of veterans in need of mental health services.
