Deputies say a female jogger was chased Wednesday by a man who suddenly popped out of the woods behind her on a popular hiking trail.
He appeared to be in his 30s and was wearing a black baseball hat and black shirt.
The woman, who did not have a cell phone, safely exited the park.
Park rangers are advising people to travel in pairs and carry a cell phone in the park.
