It appears the Monterey County Sheriff's office has reached a dead end in its two-year investigation into a major art heist in pebble beach.

Officials say there have been no arrests and the investigation is being suspended until there are any developments. In 2009, someone stole 80 paintings, worth $60 million, from a Pebble Beach home.

The pieces included works by van Gogh, Rembrandt, Matisse and Renoir. Investigators they say there was no evidence of fraud.
