Sacramento deputies face federal weapons charges

Authorities have accused the two deputies of being "straw buyers" because they purchased the restricted handguns for the purpose of selling them at a profit.

The law allows those weapons to be sold, but only under certain conditions. The two deputies are accused of selling the weapons without a license to do so.

Daly City police say a man who barricaded himself in a home in February 2011 had two of the weapons sold by the deputies.
