Burlingame mom Jennifer Tyler Lee didn't set out to be an entrepreneur. It happened accidentally a year ago when she designed a card game to encourage her own kids to eat healthier.
"Not a vegetable in sight - I was so frustrated - pulling out my hair - needed to do something, so I did the one thing I knew how to do, which was to make it fun," said Tyler Lee.
Tyler Lee was on 7 Live last year, explaining her game that awards points for trying new healthy foods.
Johnson says there are legions of Americans like Tyler Lee who have a spark and just need some help getting started. That's why Johnson wrote her new book "Spark and Hustle."
"With small business ownership, you can take control, you can be the one driving your own train. I think that's very empowering for a lot of people, and a lot of people can use that empowerment right now," said Johnson.
Johnson is sharing those tips on a national tour, advising entrepreneurs, you don't need a PR company or complicated five year business plans -- you only need to focus on three things at the start. First, what will you sell and who will you sell to? Second what can you charge and how much money can you make?
"And third, perhaps more important, what's your hustle? What's your marketing and sales strategy to make this happen?" said Johnson.
Through Twitter, word of mouth, a prestigious Dr. Toy award and a partnership with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, Tyler Lee's little game that could is now thriving, proving Johnson's point that you don't need a lot of capital to launch your business.
"The web is a great equalizer; so if you have an internet connection, you can really start without having a storefront, create a little website in a matter of a day," said Johnson.
Johnson's "Spark and Hustle" event is July 17 in San Francisco.
