Oakland police confirm three of four missing kids found safe

OAKLAND, Calif.

At 06:15 a.m., a Patterson resident contacted OPD Dispatch after hearing the children's names on the news. She said the three youngest of the four children were in her care. The children are in good physical condition and have been returned to Alameda County.

The location of the 16-year-old, Alyajah Marie Johnson, is unknown at this time, but efforts to locate her are continuing.

The children's mother, step-father, and babysitter have been charged with inflicting injuries on a child. They are being held at the Santa Rita Jail.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of 16-year-old Alyajah Marie Johnson, an African-American female, is urged to contact the Oakland Police Department Family Youth Services Division at (510) 238-3641.
