Crews extinguish fire in the Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO

Firefighters responded to 3316 26th St., near South Van Ness Avenue, at about 7:15 a.m. to put out an attic fire at a three-story building, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Attic fires immediately require a second alarm response, she said. The fire was contained by 7:36 a.m. and under control by 7:51 a.m., Talmadge said.

Everyone got out of the building without injury, Talmadge said. The fire didn't get into any of the floors below, she said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
