U.S. Coast Guard Cutter returns to homeport at Coast Guard Island in Alameda

The Cutter's return follows a 161 day, 38,000 nautical mile deployment in the Western Pacific and Southeast Asia where it conducted operations with U.S. Naval Forces.

The Cutter is named after Admiral Russell Waesche, the Coast Guard's longest serving commandant who is credited with expanding the Coast Guard's mission.
