José Quiñonez is currently the Executive Director of the Mission Asset Fund in San Francisco, California and has held this position since 2007. Previously, Mr. Quiñonez held the positions of Policy Director for the Asset Policy Initiative of California (San Francisco) and the California Outreach Director for the Center for Responsible Lending (Oakland). He also worked in Washington, DC at the Center for Community Change, Bread for the World, and on Capitol Hill.

Mr. Quiñonez started his career at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (Los Angeles). Most recently, Mr. Quiñonez was selected awarded the 2012 Aspen Institute Fellowship for Emerging Nonprofit Leaders; received the Latino Leader Magazine Maestro Award; and selected as an Ashoka Fellow. Mr. Quiñonez has a B.A. from University of California at Davis where he concentrated in Chicano (Mexican-American) Studies and has a Master's in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
