Economists: Housing market's turned a corner

There is more optimism that the housing crisis is a thing of the past -- a survey of U.S. economists finds most believe the housing market has finally turned the corner.

Experts cite many encouraging signs. Among them, home prices rose during three straight months. In July prices reached their highest levels in nine years. Also, new home sales were up a record 27 percent from a year ago. Experts give credit to low mortgage rates and investments in foreclosed properties.
