Walnut Creek police release kidnap suspect photo

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.

The victim was bound, gagged, and blindfolded, so she didn't know exactly where they were taking her.

Through her financial records, the detectives concluded that the assailants took her to two ATM locations in Walnut Creek and made several cash withdrawals at each one. Detectives say the 57-year-old female, who is from Walnut Creek, was in the backseat of the car with suspect #1 who went by the name of "David". Meanwhile, suspect #2, who went by the name "Aubrey," drove the car and withdrew the cash.

During one stop, the driver pulled down his ski mask for just a few seconds and a bank security camera was able to capture his face.

Police say the suspects' names may not be their real names. They kidnapped a woman from the parking lot of the PG&E office where she worked in Walnut Creek. After a three-and-a-half ordeal, they left the woman in a neighborhood near the Caldecott Tunnel in Oakland, still tied up. She believes they drove off in a dark-colored, older model pickup truck with a loud muffler.
