Major Apple parts supplier considers U.S. expansion

Foxconn, the parts supplier for Cupertino-based Apple, is considering a U.S. expansion.

It's in response to Apple CEO Tim Cook's plan to begin manufacturing some of its products domestically.

Foxconn is a key part of Apple's supply chain in China. But the company has come under fire for its labor practices -- housing employees in dorms and working them for unbearably long hours under tough conditions.

Apple has not revealed which product will be made in the United States, or in which part of the country.
