San Mateo police detonate volatile stored materials

SAN MATEO, Calif.

At about 4:30 p.m. a resident reported finding volatile materials stored in their home in the 400 block of Parrott Drive.

Police concluded that the materials were not stable to move without the potential of explosion and evacuated the block while warning other residents to shelter in place.
