On Friday an important cycle in the Mayan calendar ends. Books and films are trying to link the calendar to the end of the world. Archeologists, however, say there's no sign of that. The end of the cycle means another one begins on Saturday.
Tourists tell reporters they hope that's true, because they plan to be in Belize on Christmas Day.
