Heavenly opening giant halfpipe after five year hiatus

LAKE TAHOE, Calif.

The halfpipe is 18 feet tall and 450 feet long with a 16.5 degree slope. And despite the intimidating dimensions, the run is designed for all levels of experience.

The halfpipe is inside High Roller Park, one of Heavenly Mountain's three terrain parks.

It opened at noon on Saturday, and is the only halfpipe right now on Lake Tahoe's South Shore.
