Riverboat tours a getaway for NOLA tourists

The riverboat Natchez is part institution, part throwback and part museum when you consider that her steam engine is 88 years old, a transplant from the previous century.

"Steam engines are a dying breed; you don't have them anymore," chief engineer Scotty Viegas said.

Viegas loves the boat he helped build 40 years ago.

The Natchez is a tourist attraction, but more a discerning tourist attraction, a getaway from the crowds during Super Bowl week.
