Final meeting to take place to discuss SFPD using Tasers

SAN FRANCISCO

Police Chief Greg Suhr made a request to arm crisis intervention officers with Tasers. He said it could keep officers from using lethal force.

The San Francisco Police Commission said it would hold off on making a decision until after three meetings. The third is tonight at 6 p.m. at the Bayview Opera House.

For now, the commission has not scheduled a time to reconsider the chief's Taser proposal.
