A jury found 25-year-old Tyler James Hutchinson guilty Thursday of first degree murder with special circumstances. He'll receive his formal sentence in May.
Belmont police say Hutchinson broke into the home of Albert Korn in June of 2009. They believe Hutchinson beat the elderly resident and then drove off in his car.
The 88-year-old victim died the next day.
