The famous Maxfield Parrish Pied Piper painting that's graced the hotel's bar for more than a century has been taken down and will be sold at auction in a couple of months.
Sheraton, which now owns the Palace Hotel, says it's just not practical to have the iconic work displayed in such a public area.
The hotel hopes the auction will bring in between $3 million and $5 million.
