Deputy unharmed in late-night crash that flipped patrol car

RICHMOND, Calif.

The deputy was responding to an emergency call around 11:50 p.m. when the crash occurred, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

As the deputy drove through the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and Richmond Parkway, another vehicle also entered the intersection. Lee said the deputy "performed an evasive maneuver" and lost control of his car.

The patrol car hit a center median and flipped onto its passenger side.

No injuries were reported.
