Beginning in April, authorities say they'll be cracking down on drivers who text or use hand-held cell phones.

It's a month-long, nationwide operation supported by federal highway safety dollars.

The National Safety Council estimates that 28% of all crashes each year involve drivers using cell phones or texting.

According to a new study by AT&T, adults are more likely to be distracted than teenagers.

Nearly 49% of adults say they text and drive even though they know it is dangerous.
