TIME Magazine published a photo of then Barry Obama and some pals taken the night of his senior prom back in 1979 in Hawaii.
TIME also published a yearbook message he wrote for the girlfriend of a pal. It reads, "Kelli, you are extremely sweet and foxy, I don't know why Greg would want to spend any time with me at all! You really deserve better than clowns like us; you even laugh at my jokes!"
He might be president now, but he was a typical teenager back then.
