Boston Marathon bombing survivor crowned prom queen

LOWELL, Mass.

Sydney Corcoran attended the Lowell High School senior prom on crutches Tuesday night. She wasn't able to dance because her foot remains severely damaged by shrapnel from the April 15 attack.

"When I was in the hospital, I didn't think this was going to be possible," she said. "Then I got to the rehab, 'cause I was up and doing things it felt like I could do it. Like I keep feeling like I'm going to cry, because I'm just happy to be back. See, now I'm going to start crying. It's just really good to see everyone."

Sydney's classmates were so proud of her recovery they voted her prom queen.

Her next milestone is just around the corner. She graduates from high school on June 7.
