Julie Miller contacted the credit agency Equifax eight times over two years to fix errors on her credit report. She claimed the company never fixed the problem, so she sued.
A federal jury awarded her $18.6 million in damages, which is the largest judgment awarded to a consumer against one of the major credit bureaus.
The decision will likely be appealed.
