Dozens of San Francisco kids are getting a boost Thursday as they prepare to head back to school.

St. Anthony's in the Tenderloin is handing out backpacks and clothing to 150 children. Volunteers spent Wednesday preparing everything.

The kids will get two new outfits donated by Old Navy, a backpack full of school supplies, and a free youth Muni pass.

The families receiving the items pre-registered for them.

St. Anthony's says the number of families taking part in the free clothes program continues to grow.
