National Zoo's Sumatran tiger cubs pass first checkup

WASHINGTON

The zoo in Washington DC has two new Sumatran tiger cubs and veterinarians examined them Monday.

The zoo says the 3-week-old cubs passed their first exam "with roaring colors." During the checkup, the cubs were micro-chipped, just like the average household pet might be.

One difference is these cats will grow up to be nearly 300 pounds.

As of now, the cats still do not have names.
