Fourteen volunteers from the Bay Area chapter and six from the Silicon Valley chapter are deploying, Red Cross officials said. The group includes residents of San Francisco, Vacaville, Foster City, Union City, Berkeley, Castro Valley, San Mateo, Antioch, Oakland and San Ramon, among other communities.

They are joining 42 volunteers from the Bay Area, Silicon Valley, Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz areas already working in Colorado.

The Red Cross has served more than 13,000 meals and snacks so far and provided more than 2,640 health and mental services, officials said.
