A warning to football fans thinking about buying tickets to Stanford's showdown against Oregon this Thursday night.

Officials are concerned about counterfeit tickets that are up for sale on the secondary market. That includes websites like Craigslist or in-person transactions near the stadium.

Authorities say they only way to be sure a ticket is authentic, is to purchase it directly through Stanford's ticket office or through an authorized reseller like StubHub.

A handful of standing-room only tickets are still available for the game.
