Tugboat chef survives 62 hours trapped underwater

Rescuers on a recovery mission after a tugboat capsized were shocked to find a man who had survived 62 hours trapped underwater.

There was a big shock in store for rescuers who thought they were on a recovery mission after a tugboat capsized off the coast of Nigeria.

The capsizing happened back in May, but a YouTube video of the rescue is just now surfacing.

"Alright, you found one, yeah?" one rescuer could be heard saying in the video.

"There's something grabbing me. He's alive. He's alive. He's alive," said another crew member,

The video goes on to show the outstretched hand of the sole survivor, reaching for divers.

The tugboat's chef had managed to find an air pocket and survived some 62 hours, 100 feet underwater.

He spent two days in a decompression chamber and returned to Nigeria in good shape.
