He slept through the landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. No one noticed him still in his seat, not even the crew, so they locked up the plane and left.
Wagner says he woke up to a cold, pitch black cabin and made a frantic call to his girlfriend.
She called the airline and about a half hour later workers boarded the aircraft and found the lone passenger.
"I said don't put the blame on me. I didn't do anything wrong here. And then they were like try to hush-hush keep it quiet," Wagner said.
United Airlines jet has confirmed the incident and says it's investigating.
Wagner says he did not get a refund, but the airline put him up in a hotel and gave him a $250 voucher.
