Arrests made in "thrill kill" of 7-11 clerk in Milpitas

MILPITAS, Calif.

Mohammad Reza Sadeghzadeh, known as "Moe" to friends, died after being shot during a robbery last September. The 67-year-old was working the night shift at the 7-11 on North Milpitas Boulevard.

Officials say the four suspects were "just looking to kill someone that night."

Police Detective Henry Kwong shared a statement from his family Thursday.

"There are so many accomplishments that we were hoping to share with our dad before he passed," Kwong said. "But these criminals have stolen that from our family. We must bring justice to our father's soul by ensuring that these criminals are never able to commute such a heinous act again."

Milpitas police say surveillance video from the 7-11 provided them with the first leads in the case.
