The man best known as the White House party crasher is running for public office.

Tareq Salahi says he's running for Congress.

The former reality star will seek the Republican nomination for retiring representative Frank Wolf's seat in Virginia's 10th District.

Salahi shot to infamy in 2009 when he and his then-wife Michaele crashed a White House state dinner.

Michaele married rock legend Neal Schon of Journey in San Francisco last weekend.
