After questioning the driver, and confirming it through video on board the bus, AC Transit tells ABC7 News the man in the wheelchair was told he couldn't board because the area designated for wheelchairs was already occupied by an elderly passenger with a shopping cart full of groceries and a mother with an infant in a stroller.
After the disabled man got angry and blocked the bus, other passengers on board convinced the woman with the grocery cart to move to another seat so the man in the wheelchair could board and they could all leave.
AC Transit says the driver then secured the wheelchair and the bus continued on its route.
