The blaze was reported around 9 a.m. at a residence on Mountain View Ave.
First responders were able to pull the man from the fire, but he was declared dead shortly thereafter.
A preliminary investigation by firefighters determined that there were some fabric that may have ignited on the top of a floor furnace. The official cause has yet to be determined.
No one else was injured, and the fire was controlled around 9:20 a.m.
