Oakland painter arrested for using phony license

OAKLAND, Calif.

Khalid Wilson of Oakland is facing 15 counts, including six felony counts. He's accused of using a phony contractor's license and fraudulent use of funds.

Prosecutors say he took people's money, but didn't complete the work. He was originally sentenced in 2008 on similar charges, but prosecutors say he continued the same scheme after his release from jail.

Officers from the Fugitive Task Force and U.S. Marshals Service finally caught up with him and arrested him at his home.
