Bradley Mrozek, 26, is set to appear in San Mateo County Superior Court for a hearing on a defense motion to withdraw his no contest pleas, which he entered during a court appearance in November 2013, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Mrozek, in exchange for a sentence of 27 years and 4 months in prison, pleaded no contest to one count of kidnapping, two counts of committing a lewd act on a child under the age of 14 and one count of attempted child pornography possession in connection with the crimes, which took place on the campuses of Parkside Elementary School in San Mateo, and George Washington Elementary School in Daly City.
On Sept., 21, 2012, Mrozek walked into a Parkside Elementary bathroom and grabbed a 9-year-old student, covered her mouth with his hand and dragged her off campus, according to the district attorney's office and San Mateo police.
The girl managed to escape by kicking Mrozek and throwing a rock at him, police said. She then ran back to school and reported the incident to administrators, who immediately called police.
After Mrozek's arrest, investigators connected him to the Daly City case, in which he entered a school bathroom in March 2012 and tried to take photographs of four girls using the facilities, police said.
The girls reported the incident, but Mrozek ran off campus before he could be detained, police said. Mrozek is being held without bail in San Mateo County Jail.
His hearing before Judge Craig Parsons is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Hall of Justice in Redwood City.
