Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian on Highway 880 just north of Mowry Avenue shortly after 10:30 p.m., the CHP said.
Arriving officers determined a collision happened between a pedestrian and Toyota SUV, according to the CHP.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision, according to the CHP.
