In Oregon, police had to rescue a Portland family after getting attacked by their own cat -- a 22-pound Himalayan.

Teresa Baker says four-year-old Lux lost his cool on Sunday. The feline free-for-all started when Teresa's baby boy Jessie pulled the cat's tail. The cat whacked Jessie in the forehead -- drawing blood.

Teresa's boyfriend kicked the cat away from the baby and that's when Lux went wild. The family locked themselves in a bedroom and called 911. Officers were able to wrangle Lux into a pet carrier. The family is now trying to figure out what to do with Lux.
