A memorial will take place Monday afternoon at St. Vincent de Paul church in San Rafael for Marine Lance Corporal Andrew Silva. The 23-year-old was killed last Tuesday morning while riding his motorcycle in Fremont.
He had just returned from a tour in Afghanistan in February and leaves behind a wife and a two-year-old son.
There will be a public service for Silva on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
