Study: Going to the library makes people happy

LONDON

Researchers at the London School of Economics looked at ways cultural engagement affects overall wellbeing.

They say that going the library routinely makes a person feel as good as getting a raise of $2,282.

It is not clear how researchers came up with that exact figure, but they do say that swimming and dancing are equivalent.

The study is being used by the British government to measure the impact of policies on people's happiness.
