Tucson Park Rangers take extra precaution after spike in stolen cacti

TUCSON (KGO) -- Park Rangers in Tucson, Arizona are on alert for an unusual crime. Cacti theft!

Photos from Saguaro National Park's Instagram page show Rangers taking extra precaution after a spike in the cacti.

The large cactus, "Saguaro," can sell at a costly price on the black market, for more than a hundred dollars.

Rangers are taking extreme measures by microchipping the succulent. Any thieves will be prosecuted.
