Mexican president proposes legalizing gay marriage

MEXICO CITY -- Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has proposed legalizing gay marriage.

Pena Nieto said Tuesday that he has signed initiatives that would seek to enshrine same-sex marriage in the country's constitution and the federal civil code.
