SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Muni officials said they expect service to be back to normal today after a sickout crippled service this week.

Buses and light rail are expected to be running normal schedules and the same goes for cable cars, which haven't been running at all for the past three days. Muni expects 555 vehicles out of 600 will be in service.

BART is still accepting customers with a valid Muni proof of payment between Daly City and Embarcadero stations. Muni customers are advised to go to the BART Station Agent gate to request entrance to the BART system rather than tagging their Clipper card.

Muni workers have been staging a sickout since Monday after rejecting a contract proposal last Friday. The city attorney filed an unfair labor practices charge against the transit union, which is forbidden to strike or take part in work stoppages such as the sickout.
