Netflix adds New Year's Eve countdowns for kids

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Netflix is trying to help parents on New Year's Eve with a countdown to midnight that can begin whenever they want it to.

The streaming service has developed a series of New Year's Eve countdowns that can be played for kids at whatever time you want.

It includes six different on-demand countdowns you can play. Each video features your kid's favorite characters from Care Bears and Cousins, Inspector Gadget to All hail King Julien and more.

The New Year's Eve countdowns will be available starting on Tuesday.
